The family

A name that honours a father.

Bepin De Eto is the winery of the Ceschin family, in the hills of the Colli di Conegliano. Since 1965 it has been directed by Ettore Ceschin, who named it in homage to his father, Giuseppe, known locally as “Bepin De Eto”, and to the generations of the family who worked this land before him.

Ettore still runs the winery with the same calm determination as his father, now with the help of his three daughters, following every step of the winemaking process with the same relentless commitment.

Two denominations, one set of hills

The Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills are a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a winegrowing history that goes back more than 2,000 years. The vineyards here demand constant attention, but the Guyot-trained vines enjoy fine exposure and a climate special enough to support two DOCGs: Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, and Colli di Conegliano for still wines.

Bepin De Eto works in both. Its Prosecco Superiore includes a Rive, the designation for grapes from a single hillside village, in this case Rua di Feletto. Its Colli di Conegliano reds, Greccio Rosso and the Croda Ronca Riserva, show another side of the area altogether.

Rigour in the cellar

In the winery, the family describe “near-obsessive monitoring” as the key to quality. Stainless steel tanks, with precise temperature control, are the technical heart of the sparkling wines, while oak barrels are kept for the reds that need time to develop.

The same care runs through the presentation. Bepin De Eto’s textured bottles and graphic labels are some of the most distinctive in the area.
