Opening a bottle of Piona wine is like uncorking generations of winemaking heritage. Now led by third-generation winemaker Albino Piona — President of the Custoza Consortium — the estate continues a proud family legacy rooted in craftsmanship and respect for the land. Albino’s guiding philosophy, “Grapes are a palette of colours that the winemaker uses according to his mastery,” is shared by his children Silvio, Alessandro, Massimo, and Monica, who each contribute their expertise to the family business. The estate’s 77 hectares of vineyards lie in the heart of the Custoza DOC, where the influence of nearby Lake Garda and constant breezes create ideal growing conditions.
