About the producer

Callipo was founded in 1913 by Giacinto Callipo in Pizzo, a Calabrian town famous for its tuna fishing. It was the first company in Calabria, and one of the first in Italy, to tin Mediterranean tuna.

"Quality first" has been its mission from the start, and in 1926 it was named official supplier to the Italian Royal Household. Still family-run, it processes all its tuna in Calabria, and its signature product is tuna fillets packed by hand in glass jars.
