Description
Handpicked in late October, these Montepulciano grapes undergo a natural drying process for approximately one month before destemming and controlled fermentation in small steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine and skins are pressed, followed by malo-lactic fermentation. The wine then ages 12 months in semi-toasted French oak barrels and a further 6 months in bottle to develop complexity and balance.
Rich ruby red in colour, the wine reveals intense aromas of black cherry, wild berries, and fragrant vanilla. On the palate, it is well-structured, warm, and balanced with soft, integrated tannins. This limited-edition flagship wine is made from exceptional vines planted in 1973, embodying heritage and craftsmanship.
