Friarielli (known as Broccoletti in Roma, Cime di Rapa in Puglia, or Rapini in Toscana) is one of Campania's most popular and beloved vegetables. The broccoli rabe is carefully braised with extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, and chili pepper before being blended with prestigious Caciocavallo Silano DOP cheese from Calabria. This protected origin aged cheese delivers an aromatic, lightly spicy flavour that perfectly complements the intense, delicately piquant edge of the rapini.
