Sicily in a Glass: Discover the Wines of DiVine Importers

Sicily is a land of contrasts — volcanic mountains, sun-drenched plains, and centuries of winemaking tradition. Its wines reflect this variety, from the mineral-driven whites of Etna to the full-bodied reds of Nero d’Avola, and the aromatic Grillo. At DiVine Importers, our Sicilian portfolio brings together estates that combine heritage, terroir, and modern expertise to create wines with character and authenticity.

Here, we explore some of our standout Sicilian wines, including their grape varieties, alcohol content, and the stories behind each label.

G. Milazzo – Tradition and Terroir

Bianco di Nera
Made from Nero Cappuccio, Chardonnay, and Inzolia, with 12% ABV, this sparkling wine comes from Milazzo’s high-altitude vineyards in Campobello di Licata. Light, fresh, and lively, it works perfectly for aperitifs or as an Italian alternative to Prosecco. The estate’s early experimentation with sparkling wines, combined with cooling coastal breezes, gives this wine its distinctive character.

Maria Costanza DOP
Made from Inzolia and Chardonnay, with 13% ABV, this white comes from G. Milazzo’s family vineyards in southern Sicily. Bright and aromatic, it shows citrus and light herbal notes with a gentle, rounded palate. Reflecting the estate’s focus on indigenous varieties and terroir, it is approachable yet distinctive, making it an excellent choice for house lists or seafood-focused menus.

Terra della Baronia Rosso
Typically a blend of Nero d’Avola and Perricone, ABV varies by vintage. Named after a key vineyard on the estate, it highlights the Milazzo family’s commitment to place, offering warmth and balance alongside authentic regional character.

Duca di Montalbo
A blend of Nero d’Avola and Nero Cappuccio, ~13.5% ABV. This red demonstrates that Sicily can produce structured, age-worthy wines. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and more robust dishes.

Federico II Rex Sicilie Millesimato
Likely a blend of Inzolia and Chardonnay, this traditional-method sparkling wine (ABV 12–13%) is a nod to Sicily’s layered history and craftsmanship. Elegant and refined, it suits celebratory menus or premium wine lists.

A Bordeaux-style blend, 14% ABV. Combining structure with Mediterranean warmth, it is suitable for fine dining or guests seeking a fuller-bodied red.

Grillo “Kebrilla”

Hanami IGT
Blend varies by vintage, 13–14% ABV. A modern, approachable red, expressing Sicily’s personality while remaining versatile on the menu.

Palmento Costanzo – The Volcanic Wines of Etna

Etna Bianco Mofete
Likely Carricante and/or Catarratto, ABV 12–13%. Grown on Etna’s volcanic slopes, this white is crisp and mineral-driven, perfect for shellfish, light fish dishes, or vegetarian plates.

Etna DOC Metodo Classico
Etna-native whites (Carricante/Inzolia or Chardonnay), ABV 11.5–12.5%. This sparkling wine takes advantage of Etna’s cool nights and volcanic soils, offering precise bubbles and freshness for aperitifs or premium occasions.

Etna Rosso “Nero di Sei”

Cristo di Campobello – Reviving Sicily’s Vineyards
