Viridis Sauvignon Langhe DOC 6 x 75cl
The harvest is carried out by hand, in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Refrigeration and refinement on its own fine lees in stainless steel tanks. The fragrant trace of herbs and wildflowers, the fresh juice of sour fruits. It is a white that, evoking all that is green, fascinates and surprises, affects and quenches one’s thirst.
About the brand
In Verduno, a small village in the Langhe, Gian Battista Burlotto started his activity as grape-producer and wine-maker as early as 1850. In his cellars, one of the first Barolo wines of the last century was born; it came from the Monvigliero ‘cru’, one of the most prestigious grapevines. His wines and labels were displayed at the main European wine fairs, from Milan to Paris, collecting 32 gold medals.
Burlotto was chosen as the only wine supplier for the expedition to the North Pole organised by the Duke of Abruzzi in 1899 and also supplier to the Italian Royal house.
The G.B. Burlotto Winery has remained a family-run business where all phases, from growing grapes to production and sales, are now undertaken by the owner, Marina Burlotto, her husband, Gisueppe Alessandria, and their children Fabio and Cristina who represent the fourth and fifth generations at the helm the company. They continue today to produce classic wines of the region.
